One of the best ways of coping with celiac disease is to join support groups. This makes it so much easier and comfortable to discuss the issues you are having with coping with the disease. Take the time to review these groups that I’ve listed below, and you’ll find that most states have at least one group available. A few States may have more than one group available.
Why is it important to join support groups? It’s simple, you want to ensure you are always informed with the latest with the disease, especially if you’ve recently been diagnosed. It’s also a very good way to receive encouragement and support. You’ll find that hearing the stories about others living with the disease and their day to day ups and downs can be a way to feel encouraged and know that you’re not alone.
Many users diagnosed with celiac disease do not even know that there are support groups available, which is why I’ve made it a point to create this page specifically to make it known. If you’ve found this site and you’ve been diagnosed with celiac disease then be sure that you visit the site I’ve listed below. This site lists every known celiac disease support group and chapter within the United States.
Take the time to go through and find your local state, and call the contact person, or email them if their email address is available. They will then be able to provide more information on how you can get involved.
