More people allergic to peanuts now than ever before. What is the reason behind it and Why are People Allergic to Peanuts these days? Peanuts are Delicious and are a very popular thing here in the US.

The major cause of developing peanut allergy symptoms is when the immune system of a person starts attacking the protein in the peanut, considering it to be harmful.

This is when the symptoms sprout up. But there is a difference between food allergy and food intolerance wherein food intolerance does not involve the immune system at any level. Some people develop this allergy tendency while others do not.

The reason behind this is still not known. Persons who are allergic t peanuts might refrain from peanut oil or any other food product that has peanut as an ingredient.

Peanut allergy is more common in toddlers and children than adults. Also, if one has a family history of this problem, then he is at risk of developing a peanut allergy. Persons with atopic dermatitis are more likely to develop food allergies.


Most of the people not loving peanut butter it’s weird and yet peanut allergies are becoming an epidemic or maybe they’re not and we’re just freaking out humans do.

Intolerance is like indigestion or heartburn. Your body isn’t happy with the food you’ve consumed, but it’s not dangerous.

If you accidentally eat even a tiny bit of these things and you are actually allergic you could have a severe reaction and rashes due to peanut butter that happens right away.

Allergies are your immune system freaking out and attacking what it thinks to be a pathogen.

Though food allergies are a growing problem only 8% of children have them overall and of those less than 40 percent react severely.

A 2014 study in the journal JAMA Pediatrics found if moms consumed peanuts while pregnant the kid in the womb had a much lower risk of developing a peanut allergy.

Perhaps part of the rise is because moms are eating fewer peanuts.

Scientists figure the early exposure to tiny levels of peanut proteins will help prep the developing fetus so they don’t freak out when they meet them on the outside.

Since we know the allergic population of peanuts is growing there are lots of steps being taken to protect kids.
